NYSC trains officers on effective monitoring, evaluation of scheme’s programmes

NYSC Latest News 2022 Update Portal on Batch B 2022.  Checkout mobilization timetable 2022 & senate list. The Director General of National Youth Service Corps Brigadier General Muhammad Kaku Fadah has urged officers of the Scheme to be more proactive in the effective monitoring and evaluation of the Scheme’s programmes.

He stated this today while declaring open the 2022 Key Performance Indicators (KPI) Workshop for NYSC Schedule Officers, themed, “Key Performance Indicators: Tool For Enhancing Efficiency & Effectiveness of the Scheme’s Programmes”, held at Keffi, Nasarawa State.

He said all officers are also expected to be in tune with the policy thrust of every administration for the actualisation of corporate goals.

General Fadah, whose address was read at the event by the Director, Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development Department, Hajiya Walida Siddique Isa said the workshop will enable the participating officers to appraise the performances of their Departments/Units, Area Offices and State Secretariats for effective programme implementation in line with management’s agenda.

He said, “Schedule Officers are expected to be in tune with the policy thrust of our administration which l unveiled on assumption as the Director General.

Participants are therefore enjoined to take full advantage of this opportunity to develop their skills and competencies for optimal performance”.

The DG added that the workshop participants are expected to add more innovations, regular updates, proper documentation and improved quality reports to their duties.

The Director, Planning, Research and Statistics, Alhaji Ahmed Wada Ikaka in his welcome address said KPI Schedule Officers must be ICT compliant and perform their duties with efficiency towards improved performance. He warned that dereliction of duties from any officer would not be condoned.

He stated further that the workshop would provide the Schedule Officers with the requisite capacity, in line with best practices to effectively monitor and evaluate the Scheme’s programmes and activities at all levels of it’s operations as well as make visible, the noble focus of the present administration to national development.
