1. Job Title: Business Development Officer
Location: Lekki 1, Lagos

Job Description

  • The role is focused on planning, coordinating and assisting the Firm and its Partners with business development activities, including but not limited to, revenue generation, acquiring new clientele and business, pitching for additional legal services; developing the Firm’s profile, as well as the Firm’s existing and prospective businesses.

The ideal Candidate must have a good knowledge of marketing and business development, with expertise in the particular practice area being interviewed for which are:

  • Pitch documentation and Request For Proposals (RFPs)
  • Business operations
  • Branding

Responsibilities
Successful candidate would be responsible for:

  • Identifying new business leads for revenue generation.
  • Researching, assembling and preparing draft of pitch documentation and Request For Proposals (RFPs
  • Managing RFP responses, executive summaries and other bespoke pitch material while liaising with the Firm’s Partners and lawyers as necessary.
  • Maintaining database of precedent clauses for use in future RFPs and business development opportunities, while making recommendations for improvements.
  • Coordinating logistics associated with pitch/RFP production and delivery, as well as taking full ownership over assignments.
  • Providing Firm wide practice group business development and marketing initiatives for the Firm’s practice groups and lawyers, including but not limited to, assisting with tracking/execution of business development initiatives, directory submissions, event coordination, profile-raising and other activities in accordance with the Firm’s strategic plans and policies as set by the Firm’s Partners.
  • Editing, updating, and maintaining practice group marketing material, including practice group descriptions, lawyer’s biographies, and content for the website.
  • Providing requested research using the Firm’s clientele database and online tools to develop intelligence on prospective targets
  • Identifying new clients and maintaining strategic relationships with existing clients.
  • Developing and managing the Firm’s business development and client services annual budget
  • Managing all logistics related to public relations activities and communications for the firm (or contracts with and provides oversight to outside agencies).
  • Managing the Firm’s profiles on online directories and referral sites
  • Supporting the development of the monthly social media calendar and generation of content for newsletters.
  • Managing and updating the Firm’s Social Media Channels- Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter, while also carrying out competitive analysis for various law firms to influence better performance in the Firm
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Academic Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Relevant experience working in similar roles in an advisory firm or a law firm. (Professional services or business experience is a plus).
  • The ideal candidate must have a Minimum of Five (5) years’ experience in similar roles.

3. Job Title: Executive Assistant to the Managing Partner
Location:
 Lekki, Lagos

Purpose

  • The role is focused on providing dedicated support to the Managing Partner on internal management support functions, including but not limited to, building a work schedule for maximum productivity, planning and attending meetings with the Managing Partner and other Partners as required, preparing management and operational reports and managing internal projects.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains oversight function of the Managing Partner’s work calendar is prepared by the Personal Assistant to the Managing Partner.
  • Communicates with internal parties, stakeholders and liaises with all practice groups heads and Partners as required.
  • Prepares and compiles management reports and presentations focused on the Firm’s productivity and operations while exercising good judgment and discretion with highly confidential information.
  • Interacts with top-level contacts with respect to highly sensitive and confidential information necessitating the use of discretion and diplomacy.
  • Prepares and ensures minutes of meetings are accurate and undertakes prompt follow-up of actionable items from the meeting.
  • Assists the Managing Partner with prioritization of professional and personal commitments.
  • Reviews and prioritizes communications (electronic, oral and written) and determines appropriate action to take, including responding directly, preparing a draft response for the Managing Partner’s review or delegating to other team members for response preparation as instructed.
  • Manages contacts for the Managing Partner, proactively understanding who they are, which have priority and keeps track of communication required.
  • Documents the Managing Partner’s Firm-wide goals and strategic planning.
  • Facilitates and coordinates with the Partners for all Partners’ meetings and prepares presentations/meeting material as necessary.
  • Manages key projects with the goal of delivering every project on time, within budget and within the scope

Job Specification
Qualification:

Required Experience:

4. Job Title: Personal Assistant to the Managing Partner

Job Description

  • The role is focused on providing dedicated support to the Managing Partner; to ensure all secretarial and administrative tasks are handled efficiently and effectively.

The selected candidate will be required to carry out secretarial, administrative and other functions for the Managing Partner as follows:

Secretarial & Administrative Functions:

  • Managing the Managing Partner’s electronic diary, handling the daily activities of the Managing Partner. This includes handling phone calls, meetings and appointments.
  • Coordinating and scheduling daily agenda and to-do list, as well as weekly and monthly calendar appointments.
  • Organising and sometimes attending meetings- taking minutes/notes and ensuring the Managing Partner is well-prepared for meetings by organising meeting notes prior to such meetings.
  • Organizing team building events as required.
  • Organizing and maintaining files of the Managing Partner’s correspondence and records.
  • Filing, managing databases and handling correspondence.
  • Liaising with the Managing Partner’s internal and external contacts including other members of staff, vendors and clients.
  • Drafting letters and emails for the Managing Partner’s final approval; efficient follow-up of tasks as stated in emails, letters.
  • Assembling data and compiling information as directed.
  • Organizing and expediting flow of work, initiating follow up actions where appropriate.

  • Booking travel arrangements and accommodation, when necessary, and planning itineraries as required.
  • Ordering and arranging payment of a variety of goods and services required by the Managing Partner.
  • Handling some personal work for the Managing Partner including booking appointments for members of the Managing Partner’s family.
  • Perform all other duties assigned from time to time.
