We are recruiting to fill the below positions:

1. Job Title: IT Desktop Analyst
Location:
 Ikoyi, Lagos
Job Type: Full Time

Purpose Statement

  • The Role of the Desktop Support Analyst is to maintain and operate computer systems and/or network. The duties of an IT support analyst are wide-ranging and vary widely from one organization to another.
  • The IT Department is charged with installing, supporting and maintaining desktop computing systems; planning for and responding to service outages and other problems that may arise.
  • To perform the job well, the role holder must demonstrate a blend of technical skills in desktop operating systems Technologies, system administration and use of Microsoft Office tools. Other duties may include: End user education and IT Project implementation.

Key Deliverables:

  • Provide first level technology support and escalate issues to Tier 2 and 3 support when necessary
  • Monitor and evaluate data network infrastructure: Switches, routers, data network devices, Network links, GSM
  • Boosters, PBX, IP telephones and implement changes as required in improving performance.
  • Monitor and evaluate voice network infrastructure: IP PBX, IP Phones, VoIP gateways, E1 lines and implement changes as required to improve performance
  • Manage & Support Websites/Domains/Application Servers/Databases/Intranet Portals
  • Interface with 3rd party service providers
  • Provide periodic reporting of IT Support operations

Minimum Qualification/ Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in the field of Computer Science/Engineering or any other relevant field
  • 3 – 5 years qualitative experience in technology deployment or support
  • Certifications will be an added advantage
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skill, ability to work virtually, fluency in English as a contract language

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Good Knowledge of Windows 2008/2012/2016 Server Operating systems and Network Infrastructure (Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, File Services, etc.)
  • Hardware and software troubleshooting skills
  • Good understanding of Windows & Linux -based applications and their interaction with the underlying Operating system environment (Registry, System Services, Component application subsystem etc.)
  • Dexterity in setting up and managing Switches and Routers
  • Good report writing skills
  • Good IT process understanding
  • Ready to Travel when required
  • Very good problem-solving skills – frequently under various sorts of constraints and stress

2. Job Title: Sahara Experienced Analyst

Key Accountabilities
Business Performance Management:

  • Collate and interpret data, analysing results from varied sources, using statistical techniques and providing ongoing reports, draw inference and present observations that will guide business decisions.
  • Develop business intelligence tools that help drive business operations.

Business Reporting:

  • Recommend individual investments and collections of investments, which are portfolios
  • Review and analyse business financial statements
  • Monitor budgets, prepare and submit regular reports, raise flags whenever necessary, and provide management with explanations for any distortion from initial budgets and assumptions
  • Complete other ad hoc analysis and reporting utilizing data from multiple sources.

Stakeholder management:

  • Provide general support to business managers & MDs as required.
  • Perform any other duty as may be communicated by line managers, management team or any other recognised stakeholder.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Minimum Qualification/ Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines – Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Banking & Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Business Intelligence & Analytics.
  • Experience in Business Performance and Relevant Professional Qualifications is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years (Post-NYSC) experience. Completion of NYSC is a must.

3. Job Title: Senior Gas Consultant

Purpose Statement

  • Sahara Power Group (SPG) is seeking an individual with expertise within Gas sub sector. This individual will serve as a Consultant providing technical and commercial expertise to the group. Specifically, the particular expertise required is one focused on gas utilization; demand and supply in power generation.
  • SPG expects the ideal individual to be able to leverage on its generating assets, get sufficient gas supply and ensure these assets perform optimally and render expert technical advisory services.

Key Deliverables

  • Review and update the design and process flow for Gas supply and utilization
  • Manage all aspects of Gas Contract Management
  • Ensure all Gas Supply Agreements are in place
  • Design of the Gas Supply Value Chain with proximity to one or more of stakeholders (Gas Supplier, Transmission infrastructure and/or customer)

4. Job Title: Treasury & Tax Accountant
Location

Purpose Statement

  • To ensure an effective custody and management of all company funds through complete documentation of all bank and cash transaction and reconciliation of Bank and Petty Cash balance in the General ledger.
  • To ensure tax remittances and statutory payments are properly accounted for, remitted and filed in order to prevent penalties

Key Deliverables
Payment Processing:

  • Makes all payment for Asharami Energy- writes and issues cheques, prepares telegraphic transfer instructions (Naira and Foreign currency), maintains and administers petty cash (Nigeria and foreign currency)
  • Monitors and processes banking transactions in collaboration with the Management and Project Accountant
  • Liaison with various banks where company accounts are maintained.
  • Enforces policies, procedures and internal controls related to bank and cash operations.
  • Prepares and submits a daily cash report for all bank accounts. This details Asharami Energy’s cash positions in all banks.
  • Assists with cash flow planning so that all debt payment and other obligation are paid timely and ensure accurate and timely transfer of funds to meet foreign payment obligations.
  • Collection and receipting of all crude proceeds and cash calls received by  Asharami Energy
  • Ensure safety and security of all cash and cheques by putting them in the safe at the close of business on a daily basis.
  • Handling of Treasury related queries.

Reconciliations:

  • Monthly bank reconciliation and preparation of bank reconciliation statements for all bank accounts assigned-Naira and Dollar.
  • Timely remittance and reconciliations on remittances made with Tax authorities

Tax Remittances:

  • Timely payment and filing of statutory payments (WHT; PPT; CIT; NCD and VAT) for all Asharami Energy subsidiaries
  • Filing of Transfer pricing for all upstream companies

Minimum Qualifications/ Experience

  • Accounting Graduate with 3 years of  work experience in similar role
  • Relevant Professional Qualification ACA, CIMA, ACCA with a minimum of final stage in Professional Examinations.

Knowledge/Skills:

5. Job Title: Inventory Account Manager
Location:
 Lagos, Nigeria

Purpose Statement:

  • Responsible for monitoring and recording all inventory transactions in the general ledger. Identify ideal inventory method, implement, monitor and ensure adequate control mechanism.
  • Oversee the entire inventory process from stock inflow and outflow. Provide real time Inventory position and monetary value of stock.

Key Deliverables

  • Monitor timely and accurate capture of all inventory transactions: inflows and outflows
  • Generate and analyze inventory data to determine and advise inventory cost, selling price and profit margin
  • Update and maintain daily, weekly and monthly inventory report and position
  • Manage the monthly financial closing for the inventory and costing processes
  • Prepare monthly journal entries as required
  • Identify inventory variances and causes and reconcile inventory accounts to the general ledger
  • Analyze inventory related overhead cost and variable cost to ensure proper cost allocation

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics or relevant field

  • At least 5 years post-NYSC work experience in a similar role.
